The focus of Grade 9 Social Studies is on Gloabl Education. Students will be using two main resources for their curriculum this year: The classroom text - Atlantic Canada in the Global Community and a teacher resource called Connecting Classrooms and Communities for Global Awareness. Students will be expected to keep up with their homework and assignments. When written homework is not given, students are expected to still review their class notes and previous assignments to keep the information fresh for quizes, tests, and assignments. 10-15 minutes of review time per evening is expected.
We will be starting our first unit this week called: Examining Our World View.
