The Focus will be on the following skills:
- Speaking and Listening
Ie: Formal speech, discussions, demonstrations, debates, etc.
- Reading and Viewing
Fiction, non-fiction, poetry, visual multimedia, expository/informative/persuasive texts, etc.
- Writing and Representing
Fiction/non-fiction narratives, research papers, expository/informative writing, persuasive texts, poetry, and visual multimedia.
Guidelines
1) Students are to bring reading material to class everyday (magazines, novels, non-fiction, etc.)
2) Students are expected to come to class prepared with the following:
a. 4 scribblers (Hilroy 32 pg)
b. Loose-leaf paper
c. Index Dividers
d. Pen and/or pencil
e. A binder (1 inch)
3) Agendas are expected to come to class each day.
4) Late Assignments: students will be expected to stay in at noon hour until the assignment is completed. All assignments must be completed.
