Language Arts 9-7, 9-3

We are well into the swing of things in Language Arts. Students have already been introduced to presentations, reading comprehension activities, vocabulary lessons, and now we are presently working on a novel study called Forbidden City. Students are expected to come to class organized and prepared. I ask that all L.A. students have four scribblers: Novel Studies, Vocabulary, Notes, and Something to Think About. It may be best for these students to have an L.A. binder, in which they can place their four scribblers.
When students do not have any written homework, they still have homework. My expectation is that each student spends a minimum of 15 minutes reviewing their notes each night. It is my belief that, if this is done, it would be difficult for any student to feel unprepared or overwhelmed with the material we cover this year. I hope that all parents will encourage their son or daughter to read each night and review their work from class. If any parents or students have any questions, I can be contacted by calling 888-8470, extension 211. You may also e-mail me at nnmartin@edu.pe.ca

Thank you,
Mr. Martin
